Advert analyses

This is an advert for the album "Long Live the Struggle" by The King Blues. It is a simple advert. The colour scheme is black white and red and the font is san-seriff. It uses a few different fonts for different parts of the advert. All the lines used are straight lines, so it kind of gives it a sense of order, so the writing isn't just all over the place.
I really like this advert because although it is simple it works. I think the colours work well together because black and white are more neutral colours but red is an eye-catching colour, so it makes it more attractive.
Another thing I like about this advert is that it is straight forward, with just enough information to say what it wants to say, and not too saturated with words or with lots of writing in a small font, which will often put people off reading things because it takes more effort, where as with something this clear and concise people read it without thinking about it twice.

This is another advert I found in a magazine. I don't like this adverts because although the colours are bright and attractive, I don't like how they look together. Also, this was only a fraction of the page it was on, so it is located in a really small place where it is easily missed. I don't like the layout either, because it just doesn't look like it has been planned. I think the font is way too small and the font style is too think and boring. This would be an example of what I wouldn't use for my advert.

Song background and meaning.

This is a question  from and interview I found on Jamendo. It talks about the meaning of the song, what it means to them and why it is their best song.
This is going to help me plan my music video as I will understand the meaning of the song better.

"3. You just released your new album "The Better Way" on Jamendo. What's the story behind it and what messages are you trying to convey? What song represents you best as a band ?"

"The song that represents us best is "The Better Way" because it means both the way you choose to follow and the way you choose to do things. It's definitely the most aerial song that I've composed so far for LM. The message behind it is that the best way to live one's life (or the best way to choose to follow) is to enjoy what we have here and now. Our artwork is a painting created by my step father Eric Delarbre. It's directly inspired by our album title."

New Song

My song wasn't working out and I was finding it really difficult to plan the video and think of what to do. I didn't understand the lyrics because they weren't very clear and I was finding it difficult to make a story board for it. That is why I decided to change my song. My new song is called The Better Way by LM, and I chose it because it is completely different to my last song. The lyrics are clear and I am finding it easier to make a plan for the video.
I want to film my video outside but I am finding it difficult because the weather isn't very good and every day I plan to film it is rainy. I might have to change my plan and film inside because if not it is going to be hard to find the time to do it.
I was planning on doing it in Mousehold Heath.

The song I chose is pop-rock genre.
